CC closes out tennis season

Columbia City finished up it's tennis season on Thursday night with a tough 5-0 loss to Canterbury in sectionals.
At #1 singles, Eagle Dylan Hinen lost to Patrick Downs 6-4, 6-1. At #2 singles Columbia City's Matt Sewell fell 6-2, 6-2. At #3 singles Andy Moog loses 6-2, 6-4.
The doubles matches were the closest matches with Columbia City dropping #1 doubles 6-1, 5-7, 6-4. Finishing out the 5-0 loss, at #2 doubles, the Eagles lost 2-6, 6-4, 6-7.
"I am proud of the tradition my teams have developed," head coach Doug Stoffel commented. "It's still been fun to beat all the programs we did. The guys have been great examples of how working hard and and being mentally tough can get you a long way."
Columbia City finished the season with their 4th straight 14 win season.
