'Busco girls sneak past Northrop in tennis

The Churubusco girls' tennis team completed a 3-2 victory over FW Northrop on Monday night.  The team escaped with wins in #3 singles and both doubles teams.

In #1 singles, Eagle Kelli Klaehn to her Bruin opponent 4-6, 4-6.

Churubusco's Morgan Young slipped in her match falling 0-6, 1-6.

Luck started to turn in #3 singles as Busco junior Shannon Kuznar won in two matches 6-4, 7-5.

Churubusco closed out the night in #1 doubles of Hannah Dodson and Alysa Holloway as they won in three matches 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 and #2 doubles of Marla Martinez and Alison Shambaugh defeated Northrop's Kaylin Brewer and Kajal Singh 6-4, 6-3.

The Lady Eagles open conference play this Thursday as they travel up to Fremont and they face county-rival Columbia City at the Busco courts on Monday.
