The Columbia City boys’ track team competed at Huntington North on Thursday evening and lost the meet in a 99-35 score.
“The scoreboard however did not show the true colors of the Columbia City team. Our boys fought hard all throughout the meet,” head coach Kyle Nelson said.
Columbia City picked up four first place finishes for the evening. The four first place positions were won by Seth Sprangler (52.90) in the 400M dash, Trevor Maggart (45.10) in the 300M hurdles, Dylan Miller in the pole vault (11’6”), and the 1600M relay team of Spangler, Maggart, Andy Helvie, and Jared Murphy.
Nelson concluded by saying, “Several guys stepped it up a notch and have pushed our team one step closer to becoming great.”
