Friday's Football Forecast

The regular season is coming to a close with only three weeks left and all three area schools each have a real shot at a conference championship. Churubusco is sitting alone in the NECC, while Whitko stands at the top in the TRC with a 4-team tie, and Columbia City has a chance to even out the NHC with a win over East Noble. This is football at its best, time to separate the men from the boys.

Churubusco at Culver Academy on Saturday @ 1 pm

Not much riding on this game, as far as conference titles are involved, but both teams will get a read on just how good they are; a great preparation for sectional play. The Wizard feels as if this will be a nice break from the weekly grind of the NECC for Churubusco.

'Busco 38 Culver 21

Columbia City at East Noble @ 7pm

Remember last week, when the Wizard said the New Haven-Columbia City game would be the game of the month? He was right, but this match-up is at the same caliber. A win for Columbia City means they would share a spot at the top of the conference, a loss means the Eagles, more than likely, fall from their chance at a conference championship.  Big game? You bet. Problem is, East Noble is hosting the game and they remember last year's early exit in sectional play handed to them by the Eagles. Although, you gotta have faith...

Columbia City 21 East Noble 20

North Miami at Whitko @ 7 pm

Kind of a strange conference this year, four teams are undefeated in conference play and four teams don't have a conference win. This is a battle of undefeated conference teams and the Game of the Week. Certainly will be a good one, especially for the Wildcats on Senior night.

Whitko 17 North Miami 14
