Updated scores from week 8
Churubusco 38, Fairfield 52
Who predicted this outcome? Certainly not the Wizard and he bets not many of you. Not sure what happened, just know it looks like the Eagles need to shake this one off and come to play in their final home game this season against Lakeland. 'Busco suffers their first loss this season, but still has a very good chance at the NECC title.
Columbia City 31, Carroll 24
Columbia City showed why they are the class of the NHC when they went up 31-10 on the Chargers late in the fourth quarter. Carroll tried to play catch-up after CC put in their JV, but it wasn't enough for the Chargers as Columbia City won on senior night. The Eagles had 384 total yards of offense and have one more game left before an NHC champion(s) are crowned, CC is still in the hunt.
Whitko 27, Rochester 24 (OT)
Oops! The Wizard predicted this game to go the other way around. He promises to not underestimate the Wildcats anymore this season. The exciting win came on the heels of 204 rushing yards and 102 passing yards, on the road. With the win, the Wildcats stand alone at the top of the TRC with one more road game at Tippy Valley left.
