Article providedSaturday the boys swim team competed in the finals of the boys sectionals at Warsaw High School against 10 other schools. The team had a great Thursday, with several swimmers qualifying for the finals on Saturday. Competition was for final placing, scoring points for the team, and to see who would qualify for state.
"Finals scores placed our boys third behind Warsaw and Culver Military, one of our best finishes in 8 years," said coach Phil Stanzak.

200 IM Kevin Hershberger 4th, Jared Mertz 10th
50 Free Cole Smith 2nd, Garrett Vandersaul 12th
100 Fly Foster Eber 11th (PB), Devin Moore 12th
100 Free Cole Smtih 3rd (PB), Kyle Mertz 7th (PB)
500 Free Tucker Daniel 9th (PB)

"It was a great season and our boys did extremely well, we came close in a couple of events to going to state individually but came up just a bit short," added Stanzak. "With most of the boys returning, we are looking forward to another great year next season."
