Volunteers with the Cleveland Township Fire Department are working hard to make more than 300 gallons of ice cream to feed everyone visiting the annual Cleveland Township Fire Department Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 12 from 4 to 8 p.m.
They will serve homemade vanilla, lemon and chocolate ice cream — while observing safety protocols.
No worries about ruining your dinner — they’re also serving their famous “Fire Burgers,” hot dogs and delicious desserts.
Quarts of ice cream will be available while they last.
Admission is a free will offering. Proceeds support the Cleveland Township Fire Department.
The Cleveland Township Fire Station is located at 117 North State Street in South Whitley.
Above, machines whir loudly as volunteers churn out hundreds of gallons of ice cream for the community’s enjoyment this weekend.
