Marguerite Yohe of Whitley County, above, was named the “Oldest Person Living in Whitley County” from those residents who registered for the traditional Old Settlers Day sign-in event at the Whitley County Historical Museum.
Yohe is 101 years-old and a lifelong resident of this community where she raised her family. She’s seen many things over the years, watching the community grow as well as seeing businesses and buildings come and go.
Yohe was recognized by the Old Settlers Days Association during the 2021 Old Settlers Days festival held last week in Columbia City. Yohe was also recognized for her award by Oak Pointe Assisted Living.
